The National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes (NCPPCH) is a beacon for organizations across the United States that share a common passion - supporting families with medically fragile children in our communities. We've been known as a coalition of 'Like Houses', a term that encapsulates the pediatric respite, palliative, and hospice homes that have joined us in our mission.
However, as we've grown, we've recognized the need for a name that more accurately represents the core services we provide, and the families we serve. We're excited to announce our transition to 'Children's Respite Homes of America'. This new name emphasizes our focus on providing overnight respite services for families, a critical aspect of the support we offer.
Our commitment remains the same. We continue to leverage strategic and operational best practices, shape a conceptual framework, facilitate consensus, craft guidance for messaging, and champion evidence-based research. All of these efforts inform our federal and state advocacy priorities, amplifying our shared voice and ensuring we have a seat at the table for decision making.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter as the 'Children's Respite Homes of America'. Together, we can continue to close the gap in community-based providers, enabling them to bring much-needed support to families with medically fragile children across the United States
