National Advisory Council
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
The purpose of this council is to recognize the unique efforts and challenges of organizations that have successfully established, are actively developing, or aspire to create community-based pediatric palliative care programs inspired by the U.K.'s pioneering Helen House model. While these programs may vary in structure and services, they share a commitment to expanding access to respite, palliative care, and end-of-life support for children and families close to home.
This forum of representative leaders meets regularly to discuss emerging challenges, share lessons learned, and develop recommendations for the National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes Board. Together, they help shape best practices, strengthen collaboration, and advance resources that can benefit the broader community of organizations working to expand community-based pediatric palliative care.
By fostering consensus on shared priorities and opportunities, the Council helps amplify a unified national voice while supporting the thoughtful growth and long-term sustainability of community-based pediatric palliative care across the United States.
